Introduction to Chengde Dingsheng Calligraphy and Painting Academy
Chengde Dingsheng Painting and Calligraphy Academy was registered and established in 2011, with a total investment of 70 million yuan and a total construction area of over 5000 square meters. It is an important component of Chengde Dingsheng Cultural Industry Park. As a professional institution for calligraphy and painting creation and research, Dingsheng Academy of Calligraphy and Painting aims to promote excellent cultural and artistic traditions, gather, cultivate, and promote artistic talents. Its mission is to create a high-level and high-level professional team for art research and practice, striving to become a cultural and artistic platform for domestic and international exchanges throughout the city and even the country.
The main building of Chengde Dingsheng Calligraphy and Painting Academy is three floors, with a central courtyard design. It has complete supporting facilities such as a professional exhibition hall, gallery, collection library, creative room, conference room, academic lecture hall, etc. It is a calligraphy and painting academy that integrates exhibition, collection, research, education, exchange, and service functions. The lobby on the first floor is bright and spacious, and can host opening ceremony events attended by hundreds of people. On one side of the huge screen facing the gate is mounted the masterpiece of the famous painter Liu Kun, "Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove," and on the other side is mounted the masterpiece of the famous calligrapher Liu Wenhua, "Record of the Summer Resort.".
The exhibition area on the first floor has a height of about 4 meters and a total area of 907 square meters. The exhibition line has a total length of 230 meters, which includes a freely movable exhibition wall, advanced audio equipment and lighting facilities. It can simultaneously or separately host various national calligraphy and painting exhibitions, artist solo exhibitions, joint exhibitions, and other activities, as well as various calligraphy and painting art creations, pen clubs, and other activities.
The "Cuiyun Hall" gallery on the second floor has a total area of 302 square meters and an exhibition line length of 129 meters. It showcases works by artists from our institute and renowned artists from all over the city and the country. The gallery has well-equipped facilities and an elegant environment, equipped with a tea bar and leisure area, and is capable of hosting art salons, small pen fairs, auctions, and demonstration creations.
The second floor small conference room is equipped with advanced conference systems and can accommodate small to medium-sized meetings of about 50 people.
The second floor office area includes the dean's office, vice dean's office, finance department, curation department, administrative department, etc.
There are 10 calligraphy and painting creation rooms on the third floor, providing calligraphy and painting creation space for our institute and temporary visiting calligraphers and painters. The studio is equipped with spotlights, felt walls, art plans, and calligraphy and painting tools, making it easy for artists to create.
A three story academic lecture hall that can accommodate 100 people, with complete facilities such as projection, high-definition camera, sound system, etc. It can hold various academic lectures, calligraphy and painting creations, appreciation, auctions, training and other artistic activities, as well as undertake news releases and other related conferences.

On the eve of the Spring Festival in 2015 and 2016, Dingsheng Calligraphy and Painting Academy, together with the Chengde Youth Calligraphers Association, jointly organized three "Love Public Welfare Auction Elegant Collections" activities, which achieved good social effects. Since April 2015, Dingsheng Academy of Painting and Calligraphy has organized a total of 72 online micro shoots, opening up a new path for art to enter the market.
