Introduction to Liu Kun Art Museum

The total investment of Liu Kun Art Museum is 128 million yuan, covering an area of 12140 square meters and a building area of 5296 square meters. It has five exhibition halls and displays more than 180 of its works from previous years. The "Paintings and Hearts" exhibition hall is a comprehensive exhibition hall that presents the full picture of Liu Kun's involvement in the field of painting, including themes such as characters, landscapes, flowers and birds, and animals created in different periods. The second hall "Shanshui Qingyin" is an exhibition hall for landscape works, which includes both early important landscape works "Dreaming Back to Zhaojiagou" and later Lushan series works. The "Three Halls" feature a series of works featuring flowers, birds, and animals as the main themes, with a majority of sketches in form. The "Four Halls" reflect on Liu Kun's inheritance of traditional techniques by connecting with his predecessors. The "vivid portrayal" of Wu Ting is a display of Liu Kun's achievements in contemporary realistic character painting, depicting numerous character images mainly of ethnic minorities in Xinjiang region. In addition, 42 sketch sketches are displayed on the walls between the exhibition halls.
At the Langting in the west area of the art museum, there is a preserved studio for the artist's life and creation - Xuetangshan Museum. Many important works since 2014 were completed here, including the last unfinished work "Silk Road Relics".
